Brooklyn Sour started as a small home processing bakery in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn, NY, and now operates in Marbletown, NY!

It's a one-woman operation, specifically me, Tal. Hi! My background is in cooking, I used to work in restaurants in Tel-Aviv (where I'm from) and for a short period in NYC as well after I moved here in late 2017. Brooklyn Sour started as a hobby during the first Covid lockdown. What started as a hobby became a main interest, and eventually a business. I use skills I developed over the years working in professional kitchens to create and perfect my recipes. I bake small batch sourdough breads and other baked goods that are available weekly for pick-up.

Brooklyn Sour is building a new home in High Falls, NY. What began as a small home sourdough bakery is becoming a space to gather - good bread, good coffee, and real connection.

The shop is finally under renovation, and we can’t wait to open our doors soon. Until then, you can follow along as the space takes shape and the ovens warm up.

Same foundation and purpose- just a new chapter.
